Learn MoreWe hope you will join us on Sunday, March 9 as historian and author Rebecca Boggs Roberts discusses her eye-opening new book, Untold Power : The Fascinating Rise and Complex Legacy of First Lady Edith Wilson.
Roberts will examine the critical role First Lady Edith Wilson played during her husband Woodrow Wilson’s presidency, particularly following his debilitating stroke in 1919. The audience can then ask questions and engage in what is sure to be a lively discussion.
The event will be at the Woodland Parlor at 1 pm. At 2:30, following the lecture and discussion, guests are invited to Durand-Hedden House where refreshments will be served. In honor of Women’s History Month, an exhibit on the long fight for women’s suffrage will be on display at the House. The Country Store will be open for shopping. Parking is available on nearby streets.
